Writing about PTPGE

Everything a journalist, analyst or partner needs on one page: text you can quote, numbers that are always current, documents with stable URLs, and the mark. All of it CC BY 4.0 — use it, attribute «PTPGE», link to ptpge.org.

In one sentence
PTPGE is the open specification of print: a vocabulary of 726 terms and 56 product templates with permanent URIs, and one computable identity per configured product — so that buyers, printers and AI agents mean the same thing by the same words.
In one paragraph
PTPGE (the Periodic Table of Print & Graphic Elements) is an open, vendor-neutral specification for describing a printed product before the job ticket. It has two parts: meaning — a vocabulary of 726 terms, 56 product templates and 35 variables, every one a permanent URI, in 12 languages — and identity: a complete configuration resolves to one fingerprint (ptpge-cfs/1) that any system computes the same way. Five document forms carry it between parties: a printer's vendor declaration, a maker's supplier catalogue, a request, a quote and a UCP manifest, each with a published JSON Schema. Reading is open with no key, over REST and MCP; the data is versioned by date and licensed CC BY 4.0. PTPGE is held by a non-profit association being formed in Oslo, so that no single company owns it.

PTPGE wordmark with mark
Wordmark with mark — SVG
One rule: the mark names the specification, never a product or a company. Do not recolour it, do not set it inside another logo. «PTPGE» is written in capitals; «PTPGE.org®» is the registered figurative mark.
