2025/01/30: ‘PTPGE Maps’ updated. The product category structure has been updated with a new top level, introducing four classifications: Pre-Defined, Customizable, Variable Data, and Quote-Based.

Pre-Defined – Curated products with fixed content that customers cannot modify.

Example: Art posters from artists, pre-designed greeting cards, branded notebooks, or limited-edition prints.

Customizable – Products that allow online customization with live pricing and a direct purchase option.

Example: Brochures where customers can select size, folding types, colors, and paper weight.

Variable Data – Products printed with dynamic content, where every print is different, featuring unique text, images, or codes based on data input.

Example: Direct mail campaigns with recipient-specific messages, personalized event badges, customized invoices, promotional postcards with unique QR codes, or T-shirts with individualized text or graphics.

Quote-Based – Fully customized printed products requiring a quote due to complexity or variable specifications.

Example: Large-scale commercial print jobs, custom packaging with specialty finishes, multi-page catalogs, or high-volume corporate branding projects.
